California-born singer Ross David Crutchlow has been called “dazzling” and “larger than life” with “a strong, rich voice that confidently resonates across the stage.”  An extremely gifted and versatile performer in all areas, Ross’s career has spanned opera, operetta, musical theater, concert, the Shakespearean stage, film and TV.

Ross received his vocal training at the University of Redlands.  While a student, he sang such roles as Gulielmo in Così fan tutte, Count in Le nozze di Figaro, and the title role in Saul.  Upon graduating, Ross continued to appear in leading roles in musical theater in Southern California, adding Forever Plaid, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum to his repertoire.  In 2001 Ross decided to relocate to New York City where he immediately was cast in leading roles in New York and across the USA.  He sang Fred in Kiss Me, Kate, Vallon in Show Boat, Sir Sagramore in Camelot with Robert Goulet, the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, and appeared as the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance at City Center on Broadway.  In 2010, Ross was cast in his first Helden tenor role covering Froh in the Liederkranz Opera production of Das Rheingold
Ross is also an accomplished actor, having appeared in Shakespeare’s As You Like It under the direction of the renowned Shakespearean director Joe Dowling at the prestigious Guthrie Theater
Ross was a District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions , a Best Actor Award Winner four years in a row in the Inland Theater League Awards, and has appeared on the Conan O’Brien Show.

Ross has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree from the University of Redlands.
He is husband to soprano Jenny Millsap and father to their three children. After years on New York City stages and across the country, they have settled in Austin, Texas to raise their children near their family.
